UI Exercise



My exercise for today, the in-game menu user interface. I can't deny my compulsion to load down the screen with information. Trust me I TRIED really hard to be a minimalist, lol. One constant in all of my games will be the scoreboard keeping track of how many times things happen.. important things, & sometimes random things.

Hitting LT will cause the screen to become aqua instead of cyan, as it is the boy's character page.

I've never made anything like this before & I need to stop before I add something else to it.

HUD Exercise



Project Meridian HUD
Just a quick initial preview of the heads-up-display. By quick I mean, this took like three hours... This is my first attempt at actual user interface design. Clearly I'm no environmental artist, as I opted for wireframey lines! But the mech looks... okay. Remember the point of this exercise was the HUD!!!

I really like the classic, pixelated look on the HUD for that retro 2d platformer feel.

Need more diagonal lines. But I'm going to bed now.

Project Meridian // Sapphix

The secondary character, Special Modular Android SAPPHIX 00. She comes in 2 colors.

Severyn Hours // Severyn

Severyn
She is the main pilot of Sky Reaver 04 [who's AI is also a pilot, Zerofour], a space-jet mech with multiple forms.

The Stratomancer suit, known as a Carbon Veil, is what synchs the pilot to their jet & allows the mech to follow the pilots' natural movements for control.
